About STAMP dance classes for emotional wellness
Linda Vargas is a flamenco dancer and international flamenco dance examiner as well as a Licentiate ballet teacher, university lecturer, international author, and mentor. She lectured at university for seventeen years and is an accredited executive mentor for the American company Collective Brains.
During her M.Ed. research, Linda developed a STAMP dance to improve intercultural relations in education. She later founded STAMP (Social Transformation and Multicultural Perspectives) https://www.stampdance.com which is an organization dedicated to using music and dance to improve wellbeing. She spent 10 years teaching and developing STAMP dance for education at Gordon Road Primary school.
In March this year Linda was invited to give a presentation on her book at the KZN Costal Principals Conference in March 2023 and many of the principals and teachers requested that she include ‘dance for fun’. It was so well received that Linda has decided to offer STAMP dance to the general public.
These trial classes are R50 each and the aim is fun and emotional wellness.
⦁ Westville Theatre Club on Saturday April 22 at 1-2pm.
